Ask DocSk8 (Expert Indoor Skate Building Advice) This forum is different then the other SkateLog forums in that it is not a discussion forum, but rather a place you can ask skate building expert Fred "DocSk8" Benjamin about building and repairing indoor speed, derby, and jamskate quad roller skates. Default Interchange table

Doc,
I know you must have notes. Have you put together an interchange manual on trucks fitting/swapping from plate to plate? Also what is the difference between and Eagle and Eagle plus plate? The trucks only? Looking to build a setup for my daughter in law. Myself, I would have put her on DA lasers(very tune-able) but she doesn't want to buy that expensive of a plate.

UH, notes?? Most of it is in my head and I really have not just randomly swapped stuff if it did not look interesting. On top of that almost every thing required more than just swapping the trucks.... Cushions, king pins lock nuts and what have you. Mostly focused on DA45 type stuff. Something in particular you are considering??

Far as I know the only difference between the regular and the + plates is the adjustable pivot on the + trucks. The Eagle is discontinued however.

What kind of wheel base are you looking for. I have ~ 80 feet of plates hanging in the shop.

They will be coming over this weekend I think. So I'll be able to get an idea of what she wants and plate length she needs. My self, I would put her on a plastic Da45.. No substitute for tune-ability.

Cannot argue that. Too bad SG was so sloppy locating the pivot cup on the Skins. The are out there almost for free but need to have the pivot cup filloed and properly located to change them to DA45.

When I was much younger I had some Skins. Broke the plate in half one day.
Actually been thinking of machining a pair of plates from delrin...lots of effort and time though.
