Default Separating inline/quads in the advertising products forum

Given that the majority of ads in the forum concern quads, it is quite difficult to find inline stuff, so I think it would be a good idea to have 2 sections in the "Advertise Your Skating Products Here " and "Want To Buy" forums.

What do you think?

Actually, that's not a bad idea at all. Let me think about possible ways to implement that idea and get back to you. Thanks for the suggestion! More soon...

If you are going to start to divide, how about an area for clothing & skate related stuff (like travel bags & back packs)

I'm getting negative feedback about the idea of splitting the advertising forum into several subforums, mostly because people think we already have too many subforums, and because the advertising forum is was created to keep ads out of the main forums, but advertising is not something we should be encouraging in the SkateLog Forum.

Everybody... what do you think? Should we only have one advertising forum or should we break it up into more specific subforums?

One is fine. No need to split. I can usually tell whether it's my kind of skate from the subject line.

When Inlines first hit the market--all us Quad guys welcomed them. Once Inlines got popular, we were often excluded from "their " events. I don't think division is good for Skating as a whole, and should be avoided. No point in going backwards, just to ease ones shopping needs.

i dont think a separate link is needed, not enough to worry about. but it doesnt matter to me one way or the other.

Thumbs up

I was actually thinking before that separating the inline and quad ads would be a good idea.

Given the relatively low numbers, I would agree that a division is not necessary.

But What If the # of posts increased 10, 20 100 fold? Then, I would think that a subdivision would be helpful.
