"We" have been missing you however. Getting tired of posting to myself in here.
Skated 10 miles before work and 18 miles after work today. Was supposed to be a rain-out. I love getting a bonus skating day added to my life! Weather is starting to heat up down here in the steamy south. Gonna start shifting some of my skating time to early A.M. whenever possible. We also have good daylight to nearly 8PM, so I get two chances to get on the skates every day from now until the Fall time change. ![]()

Weather has been great, putting in lots of skating time, and miles. Shooting for a 100 mile week and already up to 49 miles for Monday and Tuesday combined. Then I checked my Strava data and found that today pushed me over 125 miles for the past 7 days! No wonder I feel tired. Every mile was on my Powerslide Hardcore EVO skates with wheels not rockered.

Hitting it HARD! Nice 7-Day total for me. May is going to be a great month when it totals up.
![]() BTW...I fudged 1/10th mile because I don't start the GPS right at my house so all of my mileage does not get counted. Easily have that amount too.

I've already done more this month than I did last month! 21 miles this morning, and 9 miles earlier in the week. Hope to keep it up!

Heh, yeah, I've been holding this forum down for years, and I like to pop in from time to time and say, "No change". Meaning, daily if not twice daily skating is happening. DAILY! Peace Joey!

Had a great week!
Mostly on the longbaord. Got some tendonitis in one toe on each foot so had to switch to the inline skates to get 300+ miles for the month of June. 1200+ miles year to date on longboards+inlines Probably going to take a week off from all skating. Bad weather coming and healing up some minor issues.

Daily, and usually twice daily! Ever since I built that skate park in my backyard it's been just steady.

I did 14 miles on my new skates (Seba Trix2 90) today. New skates feel good. Boot fits well, I like the extra support compared to my old skates, but the 90s are indeed more difficult to push uphill. Part of it is probably just my physical conditioning bouncing around, hadn't gotten much other exercise lately.

They are more difficult to push than anything smaller. Going up hill it is like gearing, smaller wheels equal a lower gear while bigger wheels equal a higher gear. That is why 110s on a hill are pretty brutal. I have heard that 125s are just as bad if not a little worse, but the roll makes up for the increase in effort.

Hah, yes, they are more difficult to roll uphill than my old 80s. I had heard, of course, that bigger wheels were harder to push uphill, but honestly didn't expect to notice much of a difference between 80 and 90. I had heard it mostly in relation to 100 or 110 setups, so wasn't expecting much just going to 90. I wanted bigger wheels mainly for smoother ride, and it does help with that. And they feel real fast on level or downhill, but feel sloow on uphill! I'll get the hang of it soon enough, I'm sure.

Look at me, posting in the training log. It may have been a year since my last post...
Anyway, getting up at 5 AM so I can skate before leaving for work. Got about 4.3 miles in this morning in about 19:30. Humid. Couple of good hills. Getting ready for the local marathon in just under two weeks.
