Ask DocSk8 (Expert Indoor Skate Building Advice) This forum is different then the other SkateLog forums in that it is not a discussion forum, but rather a place you can ask skate building expert Fred "DocSk8" Benjamin about building and repairing indoor speed, derby, and jamskate quad roller skates. Please start a new thread for each new question. |

Hey there, Doc. Getting back into skating (again). All outdoor. A little quad hockey (very much recreation and non-competitive), learning some art/edging stuff, a little trail skating etc.
Going to get a set of Bont Parkstars and am looking for a decent set of 20 degree plates. When coupled with the composite sole of the Parkstars, would a nylon/fiberglass job do? I only weigh ~120 lbs. Was thinking the Bont Prodigy would be a good bet. Edit: Just realized the Prodigy isn't offered in 6.25/159. I'm definitely not going up to 165, and 6.00/152 might be a little short on a Bont 7/26cm foot. Which leaves me either considering the Crazy Venus, Athena, or maybe an NOS Ignite NTS. I have successfully rolled 150s on size 8 Bonts. YMMV.
