Default 2013 Quad Classic Speed Meet, February 9 & 10

Posting this up for a non skatelogger. There will be a quad only speed meet February 9th & possibly the 10th in Gresham, Oregon. Entry fee is $30 and it is only individual events at this point. Doors open at 5am on Saturday, races from 6-10:30. If needed, doors open on Sunday at 5am, races from 6-11:30. This is all I know at this point. For more information contact Troy Chambers, Gresham speed coach, at:

tachambers@comcast.net

The rinks website is:

greshamskateworld.com

I will try to get more information as the meet gets closer. I have not skated at the Gresham rink and do not know how the floor is.

It looks like I'm coming, with a friend. He's raced quads, I haven't. I've only raced inlines, but hey I'm also a dance skater, and I have race wheels . And SEDS. Good excuse to buy speed quads. Or I could race in my Harlicks.

Sure why not, maybe a lap of speed with a toe loop for some flair.

Tell your wife to bring sunscreen to; you can get a wicked burn in February at the beach . Rex'n nice to hear from you. Are you still close to the Oaks? I thought I heard you might have moved to Washington.

Default Oaks

I stopped going for about nine months. It's the usual crew. Noz, ringer, sump, myself and a few derby girls every once in a while. I only go Mondays and Wednesdays and not everytime at that. I pay for drop in. It's be great if you came back and skated with us. Noz is getting faster and his endurance is crazy. He continually trains, skates outside and runs. I doubt he misses more than 2 practices a year. I need to get off my lazy butt and start training hard again.

Is that the poster? *I like it. Hmm about 650 miles (guestimate of $130 worth of gas each way if you were to drive it vs. around $250 to fly RT) Might be worth a reminder in my calendar.

By the way, isnt there a Zip problem there?? Only 4 digits

Default Zip

Just noticed that. Do you need the full zip? Entries are starting to come in for the meet.

Default yo eric....

Who's skating veteran, we''re skating tonight and I'm thinking I might start Rollin' again. 2 months of hard work might put me shape to skate the meet. Do we need a amateur card to compete? I''ll talk to coach and Nanette and Jim tonight.

Thanks for the update -- I should have asked Troy at the last inline meet.

My daughter will be crushed when she hears how few. Really, was that all?

Where are the quad skaters? Next year hopefully more?!?!?!
