Default 1940 Skating Review

A Friend Sent Me This Article About Her Dad
George Moore 2nd Senior Mens National Champion 1938 & 1940
No Meet Was Held In 1939
He Skated For The Then Powerful Sefferino Rollerdrome In
Cincinnati.
Bill And Cap Were The Owners And The Coaches - At That Time Cap Was The Chairman Of The Speed Skating Committee Of The R.s.r.o.a.
George Was Asked To Give Some Speed Skating Tips
The Article Stated That George - Cap And Bill All Talked At One Time And So Fast And Had So Much To Say That He Was Not Sure Of His Notes

"learn To Relax.....can Be Done .....coast From The Foul Maker To The Next Corner Marker.....cross A Third Of The Way Down The Track.....then Dig In With Your Hips.....keep A Deep Edge On The Curves....when You Start To Pass.....drop Back A Few Feet"!

Now As A Old Coach I Was Told By A Great One That All I Did Was Tell My Racers To Go Fast Straight Ahead Then Take A Sharp Left.
When Really I Was The Travel Agent - Baby Sitter - Complaint Department - Whipping Boy - Entertainment Committee And Yes Coach.
Can Anyone Tell Me Where The Foulmarker Was At On The Track???
