Hi Bill,

Yes I'll be there, will you?

Admittedly this is not normally my scene, but Dave was selling tickets on Wed. at the rink, so I thought I'd come check it out and support the local champs.

I posted it on the forum because I figured there are some artistic skaters in CA that might be interested in coming..if they knew about it...even at the last minute. (I would have posted it sooner but I only found out about it Wed. myself...although that's probably because I haven't been to Cal Skate much since the boycott...which seems to be over now.)

Anyway, hope to see you there...

Jean

Hi Jean,

I'll be there, I'm a little closer then Rick
I'm happy to hear you are going. WC Dance is a fun event to watch and Julie and Logan are one of the best teams in the world. I like the fund raisers at Milpitas. They put on a show, and you can also skate!

Here are a few shots I took of them at regionals this year.

See you there,
Bill

Hey Rick,
You missed a great show and skate. The skating community is great and always willing to help out. This show was no different. I saw skaters from all over the bayarea, from Monterey to Rhonert Park, there to support Julie and Logan. Pretty much all the bayarea clubs were repersented, and everyone had a great time.

The featured skaters included skaters from Milpitas and Redwood City. Julie and Logan skated 2 dances, osp, and their freedance, (I hope I got that right) they had a busy night! The other skaters were Nationals Ladies Singles Champion Jennifer Orcutt who skated her long, Nationals Pairs Champion Aubrey Orcutt and Robert Hines and Eduardo Gravina from the Brazil World team skated Mens World Class Singles.

The last skate of the night was Julie and Logan skating their freedance. They had a "Cutting Edge" moment. In their starting pose, Julies scarf got tangled with Logan's leg resulting in an unschedulded sit down, a few smiles, and a re-start. They saved the best for last, "Romeo and Juliet" was was powerful, graceful, and dramatic. Two skaters moving as one and a great performance.

All in all it was a World Class night!
Here are a few images from Julies and Logans free dance skate.

Thanks for the update Bill,,,julie is so hot lol,,,,,but i must admit logan is the show, he is so loose and can do it all. wow you had a great show, Jen and her sister Aubrey and Robert and even Eduardo,,,,nice well worth the money and glad you had a good turnout. i will tell you a story about Eduardo, you probably already know. he is skating wc singles for brazil, but he also skates at our nationals and skates as a junior man in singles, he has won junior the past 2 years here. good skate, very artistic, a little weak when it comes to world class in the jumps department.

Rick
