Default New rink to open in Baltimore, MD

Sometime in July a new skating rink will be opening in Woodlawn, MD. It will have a maple 160' X 75' floor, and will include other family fun activities including laser tag.

Remember you heard it first from me.
dang I just hurt my shoulder patting myself on the back.

Really? Where exactly? A little smaller than I'm used to, but maple is a good thing. A rink in Woodlawn would probably be a little too "urban" for my old fart tastes, but after seeing half the Skateland chain fold, along with a bunch of independants, it's good to hear of an opening. With Sportsman's recent reserection, that will be only the second opening in Maryland I've heard of in the last 25 years!

Someone at Wheels mentioned this tonight, and I'm really excited about it. I live right off Security, and just a couple months ago, I had a dream of a rink opening in the exact area you mention. There really isn't a better place to put a rink in the Baltimore area; the demand is there (skates used to fly off the shelves at Modell's), but the supply isn't. Any word on when it's opening?

If my pasty white @$$ can go to Shake 'n Bake, there is no such thing as "too 'urban'".

I also have had dreams that don't yet exist or perhaps dream about rink that have long closed but are still talked about. I thought I isited all the open rinks in my area, but a few have closed since I started skating. still I only missed a few.might be time for another road trip.. only rink I missed is a few hundred miles away...would like to skate all the rinks in cali... or at least in north california. I'm sure some one has done it.

What style skater are you? I do the RT 30 rink, Sportsmans, every Sunday evening. Rentals generally suck, but they would get you on the floor!

Has this rink opened up? What is the name of the rink. I called information and did not get any info. Thanks!
