Are These Alabama Roller Skating Rinks Still Open?

At one time the U.S. state of Alabama had a very large number of roller skating rinks. It still has quite a few but I think a lot of them have closed.

Does anybody know which of the rinks in the above directory have closed?

Three of these rinks are the home rinks of women's roller derby teams. Do any of those Alabama rinks have artistic clubs or indoor speed skating teams?

I'm pretty sure Dreamland is still open in Mobile and Hot Wheels in Daphne. I drove past Lynam Up in Excel and it appeared to be open. The only reason I remember that was the odd name. Wish I could be of more help.

Skate Odyssey in Huntsville was open about a year ago. Sorry, I don't have any further info. Crazy Gambit may know.

Hot wheels, Dreamland, Sunshine, and Skateland are open. Not too sure about the others. Skateland is home to MRD and Hot wheels has a jam team (Jubilee Jammers) . There was one in Foley that closed ~ 1 yr. ago

Funtime, Dreamland, Roller Motion, Looneys, Skates 280 (my "home rink"), Skate Country, Sunshine (one in Mobile and one in Oxford), Trussville Playstation, and Skate Castle are still open. I've been to each one within the past year.

Hey BlackCrow I skated a couple of speed meets way back at Looneys in Montgomery. Question about SkateCountry. Has that rink been there forever?
Is the floor 100X200? I think it used to be Rainbow Rollarena years ago. I also skated at couple of meets at that rink. That was an awsome floor big and fast.

Carousel Skate center, is open
Interskate in Athens, is open
Rock N Rollers, is closed. There is a skatepark on Hughs Rd now though.
Sports World Skate Center, is open
Wonder World, is open

We got like 4 rinks here in the Huntsville area.

skate castle and funland skate castle are the same rink and yes it is open...
