Default Church of Latter Day Skates

Is in session in one hour.

Haha!

After all, I'm only 10 minutes away from where Joseph Smith ate his peyote buttons and hallucinated the angels coming down!

We just got back home from Skatechurch.

The Lord is my Shepard, I shall not want, and Tho I skate thru the 12'bowl of death, I shall fear no evil, for my helmet was worn, and yea unto my knee pads I did fall. The Lord makes me better, and glory to his name.

Heaven is a half pipe!

Happy Sunday to you all!

Amen.

Be nice. I have some very good (as in God fearing people) Mormon friends that I would not want to see that statement. I try not to bash other's beliefs unless they include killing people and stuff. Again, I don't agree with the theological side of Mormonism, but I don't go out my way to hurt them either. After all, they are trying to make good in this life too.

Now the title is of the thread is not offensive and is quite cute.

Later today I hope to get in some skate church too!

The skate church Pope has spoken the truth and nothing but the truth!

(btw: Dear skate pope can we please reduce the 12' to something more like 9' for this unworthy member of the congregation? (12' scare the hell out of me..... )

The skate Pope will never give you more than you can handle in skating. Remember, what does not kill you or make you lame does make you a better skater.

Actually..... I was thinking about expanding it thusly:

To 13' as is the vert ramp standard.

There are plenty of 6, 7, 8 and 9' sections across the great world.

To pray in the 12' end is holy. To stall the 13' is heavenly!

Blessed be your bearings, and may your wheels roll true! (and may the good lord smile on your shoulder!)

No offense intended - some of my best friends are Mormons.

I was being too sensitive. My own experiences with the supernatural has been both terrifying and extremely joyful and healing. I would hate to trivialize that experience for anyone. There are a lot of unseen forces at work in this world and I have "seen" too much to believe otherwise. In some ways I saw the statement as an attack on spiritual beliefs in general. Fablemaker, I apologize for seeing your statement that way.

I have seen a lot of really good rails outside churches!
They love grand entrances with lots of steps.
Requires oh so many rails and ledges.

God beless them each and every one.

The rail and ledges have been placed there for the one and only true reason:

'... yours shall be the rails and ledges ... '

blessed are the wheels and bearings!

let us follow our skate pope's teachings and see the street lamp that lights up the marble curb of soul plate's joy!!

Amen

(dear skate pope - can we now reduce that 13' drop to 9' ... maybe 10' ? Anything higher still scares the hell out of me......)
