OUCH!
You really may want to consider going to www.figureskatingdeals.com click on accessories and check out "protective shorts". It's not worth doing permanent damage.

From the meet last month:

The black spots in the following picture are the fragments of my skinsuit that melted into my skin.

Chasing a bike and not paying attention, elbow pad took the impact and then slid up the arm as the elbow got scraped.

Also did the butt slide, burnt through the spendex.

Similar butt burn on the other side (no pics) when I inhaled a drink instead of swallowing. coughed so hard I fell.

Started skating hard without warming up, so I lost it in the first hundred yards and had a shoving match with a wood fence;

But in all, it is only skin, because of full body armor. Never skate without them!

Or better yet, convert your arms into shock absorbers. That x-ray hurts every time I see it.

It's not too much information for me. I like everybody to share their injury photos - the worse the better - because it encourages us to wear our head and body protection at all times.

I just noticed that my injury from Monday is worthy, but the picture would not be work safe, nor do I think I can convince my wife to take it. (My whole right butt cheek is black )

I know what you say..

I had to take mine through a mirror. One pic I just held it away and kept snapping until I got what I needed, but I know what your talking about. She supports my skating, but thats where she draws the line.

Cell phone cam picture of my injury from Saturday. The red spot is a silver dollar size of peeled skin. The red line is the 2"x8" burn.

Ok--you win. My ankle was miserable, but that wrist makes me want to cry.

How did you manage that one? (picture in my mind, of you upside down on a 30 degree angle twisting through the air sliding your shoulder.....?)

I think it's too soon for the moon to rise again, but suffice to say if it did, the theme music would be by CCR.
