Default Worlds `09 - competitor listing

Subject to change of course, and some countries still to register (ie: ARG), but looks like its going to be a great event and some interesting ops for medals..

http://www.freiburg2009.com/eip/page...rter_lists.php

* No Italian men in combined - win for Germ or Spain here for sure.
* Three HOT faves from Italy in Ladies singles - could this be a 1,2,3 ????
* A chance for any of the HOT 6 guys in the Mens.. could we have a surprise world champion?? Barbieri, Gassett, Sturmer, Tocco?? Gonna be a tough one! Not to mention the excitment of Daniel Ariolla making his return!! That will be awesome!!!

Cant wait!

Default Where are the inline skaters?

For inline competition, this '09 worlds could be the one with the least entires - men and ladies - since '04 worlds in Fresno, USA.

So sad !

Where are the world-class artistic inliners?

It may well be the last time we see inline at worlds too .. I dont know if the vote is being made, but didnt Italy propose that inline be removed? Maybe it will be voted on this year, and instead they have a 'International Cup' instead.. Also the event will run prior to everything else during practise time at this years worlds, so there is a definite shove to push it out..

Default Inline

I know i've never personally skated but surely inline artistic is the sport to promote as that's likely to gain more competitors than the other disciplines. Shame they never speak to skaters to ask what they want. For me the biggest charm when I've watched the two UK competitors at our Championships is the lack of noise when landing. It makes it a much more pleasurable experience especially for jumps.

The gorgeous and amazing Cristina Trani is coached by the equally amazing Gabriele Quirini (coach of D'Aliera, Erica Colaceci, Andrea Poli, Dario Betti and more including Dance world champ 2008)...

I was at Gabriele's rink in May/June with one of my skaters training and Cristina had only just come back to training, she had been off for some time with studies etc. and while her training was just getting back into shape, she was nailing triple mape, loop euler triple salchow combo CLEAN (of course) and awesome triple lutz.. Her double axel, triple mape, triple salchow are technically brilliant.. and for a first year senior skater she is (agreed) ONE HOT TICKET!!!

No doubt, Italy will be 1, 2 and 3 this year in the ladies for sure...
