Did any forum members do anything notable? I am not good at connecting forum names to real names...

The only two names I recognize is Cliff Mills (Rexn) Derrick's brother ( MR SHELBY) and Craig Wiseman for the Mens and Susan McPherson or (SusanMCP) for the ladies. Congrats to those who placed.

Thumbs up Rexn's Coach Derek Meade...

Won the overall Mens National Title! Rexn & Derek were DQed at the last exchange when Rexn accidentally arm whipped his teammate Derek, otherwise My brother & Derek would've taken the Mens two man Relay Gold on Rexn's first trip to Nats! Needless to say, Cliff learned several valuable lessons. Mrs. Mcp. kicked some serious A$$ & won a few medals!

Rexn & I both had the time of our lives, got to meet several Loggers of note, and Susans relay partner Terri is a living doll! MR SHELBY had a Quad Speed Crush going on. Can't wait till next year in Fort Wayne!

Derrick......

Just got back from Nationals and have 200 emails...lol I enjoyed meeting a few skate loggers at Nats (Mr. Shelby and Iggy) I ended up 1st in Classic 2-man and 4th in Classic men. I got 3rd in the 10 lap final and 4th in the 5 and 20 lap final. For those that were watching online, the pile-up in the 500 meter was not as dramatic as it looked. While in 2nd place, my extremely novice 2 mix partner interfered with the 1st place team so we got DQ'd. The referee blue the whistle and told her to leave the floor and she stood up and said "why I don't understand what you are asking me to do." That was one of the best moments of the meet for me. The ref didn't know what to say. Oh, and The Tire was fantastic. If you watched the 20 lap final, I was drafting in the back for the first 10 laps, rolling almost the entire corner and taking one or two crosses coming out.

Nice work, skateloggers! You make us proud. And maybe inspire us to get out there too.

Hey Mr Shelby Every body loves Terri. That lady is a trip. She is the head coach of the Sprinters now too. She has a passion for skating like no one else. The day after nationals was over she puts up a post about doing a recovery skate outdoors this morning. I am the other coach on the Sprinters team and she is one of my best friends. She took my little Shelby with her last week and looked after her all week long. Shelby had a great time and absolutely loves her coach Terri.
I skated quad nats two years ago with Broken Joe. We both had a blast. It was the first time in years for both of us to compete and I am thinking about doing it again in Ft Wayne.
