[Travelling] FinLine 2012 - recreational long-distance skating event in Europe

Hello all US and other skaters!

The 21st FinLine long-distance skating event in Finland will take place on 2nd – 7th July 2012. The starting city is Hanko and the final destination is Kotka. (Preliminary information).

The basic concept will be the old good one: FinLine is an event targeted for all skaters with 50 miles/day basic skating skills around the globe. We prefer having fun to speed. (Those who like that speed = fun, may do that also; different types of skaters are welcome.)

Type FinLine in YouTube to see various video clips from the previous FinLine events. Skating may not look like luxury but one important tradition on FinLine has been to invest on the accommodations and other (evening) program during the week - to keep you motivated and relaxed to skate the whole week.

And here you can find 19 long-distance skating event (mostly in Europe and in America) where you can skate more than 200 km.
