Default Updated with off site feedback link

Here is an example on another board I am on:

http://www.ls1gto.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=18

Or instead of commentary-it could be a simple yes or no based on about 4 things.

Were you paid as agreed?
Did the item ship as promised?
Did the item arrive in stated condition?
Would you recommend the buyer/seller to other forum members.

If the mods need a "sub moderator" I, and I imagine a few more, would be happy to do so.

Keep dirty laundry, comments, etc out of this.

This is merely a poll.

While a feedback subforum might be a good idea (might keep some of the bitching and whining out of the other forums) I'm not so sure... there's enough mud slinging happens already and I can only see this kind of thing leading to the removal of the buy/sell forums.

I fear that any bad reviews would cause ill-feeling and spill over into the main forums.

The issue really is that it is a select few who mud sling and possibly ruin the whole thing for everyone. I've never had a bad transaction from anything I purchased on the forums, but I'm very select as to who I would buy from.

A nice civilized post. Thank you.

But also as I stated....it could just be a yes or no option.

I understand what you are saying, but....

By your own admission you have never had a bad transaction so it's easy to cast stones at people who "sling mud"......

Well no, I said bad transaction on stuff I bought here. There are other things (such as trading) that I didn't comment on, but I'm not one to air my dirty laundry on a forum that people come to for enjoyment.

They can turn on a reality tv show for that stuff.

in other forums i'm part of, subaru/toyota/machining, etc, there seems to allways be some form of rating system in place. i have large amounts of experience on forums and sales, and this is the only one, of this size, that doesnt seem to have a system in place. i will also add that there doesnt seem to be any mudslinging, or fighting, over buy/sell, at all, on those other sites. i do know in the case of some of them, there is WAY more active moderation, WAY WAY more.......just observations

i think a rating system that doesnt allow commentary would allow the basics of a deal to be seen, without name calling. yes a rating can still be abused, but i think if your allowed a avenue to vent, even if its just a 5 star system, it would keep the fighting off the board. i know it would have been enough for me....

If Finn keeps taking those Deano Hubs out of the US, I'm going to start writing some negative feed back about him... like he is a Deano hub hog!

Don't be like that?? It's nice to see I can't be that bad a guy in the eyes of some of the US skate community
I have always been of the opinion that someone may have done wrong by others but until I get crapped on they are ok by me. Depending on what they have done to others of course. Some things are unforgivable!!
Same as this poll. You can't hate someone just cause someone else says so?!

It's been tried. A couple of times. Didn't work. There were a number of "feedback" threads in the for sale section before it got restructured.

This site has no system in place because it just tolerates forum sales, and not much more. I would strongly urge anyone buying or selling to do so via PM or email and keep the transaction completely off list. I'm pretty sure Kathie has about one nerve left for the subject.
