When I get home from the rink , I always wipe my skates down and leave them to air out and dry . Do you have any suggestions or where do store your skates in the house ? I need some suggestions on where to put my skates . I have two other skaters in the house and we all have three of four pair of skates . The wife would have me keep them outside somewhere , but that's not happening .

Do you have a laundry room? Mine's small but I hang my gear in there or outside for a bit, and I put my skates on top of the dryer if it's not running and open the window.
My skates still have a bit of that leathery smell

Toss a couple of silica packets in your boots. Silica can really help with unwanted moisture. You can find it on ebay or silicagelpackets.com.

Buy some silica kitty litter and put it in a pair of sox, works a treat.
Doc, what are those things with all the wheels in a line?

I personally and most skaters I know just leave their skates in their skate bag.
Never had a problem. ![]() ![]()

You really copped it on that 1 didnt ya .It wasnt that bad . I was freaked out a little bit when i met him at the rink. i keep thinking it would take a crap load of guts to come out dressed like that to sports/ entertainment venue.Would not be an easy life to lead by any means. we dont mean to offend anyone when we make light of these things. But for every action theres a reaction.Ive met a lot worse before at that rink.

I store mine in the closet, but I tend not to have any issues with sweaty feet, I do always leave the tongues open for though incase their is any sweat I figured they can breath a bit better.

Unlike most folks that haunt the Quad forums I am not welded to one kind of sk8... although my inline sk8ing has declined way too much over the last 5 or 6 years..

I just keep mine in my skate bag in the living room (I don't have a ton of space in here), usually with the bag open. I keep all of my extra skate stuff in boxes in the corner of the living room.
It's not a very stylish way to store things, and I wish I had a garage or laundry room to put it all on, but I don't, and this works.

I keep mine in a big canvas cag with handles.
I try to keep them always vertical so that the synthetic NanoLube bearing oil stays inside the deep grooves, instead of seeping out the sides of the bearings. -Armadillo

I tend to leave mine on my skate bag as they strap on the outside of that but they hang a but funny when I take my pads out to air. Skate nooses seem a good idea that I'm temped to make non adjustable shorter ones to hang the up over my defunct exercise bike that my pads fit well on for airing and drying.
