It's one of my home rinks. Awesome facility. My speedteam is based there. My other home rink is much closer and it's where I grew up skating and where I currently go to session.

Awesome, I love castle but haven’t been there in a while. I've skated a few meets there and back in the late 80's a group of us from USA would go down there every now and then. What’s the session crowd like and music?

I only go on Wednesday's and Saturday afternoons. I haven't been to any sessions at Skatetown. One of the speed coaches Bill "Lucky" Stehlin also runs a beginner dance class that is all youngsters if I'm not mistaken.

Yeah I had emailed Castle asking about sessions they wrote saying the Wednseday 6:30 to 6:30 was good but I've never made it down there in time. I dont get out of work untill 6. I am going to try the adult skate at Skatetown on labor day.

SkateTown is an awsome facility. I went up there two years ago for the Regional Speed meet and was blown away when I walked in. Two rinks in one building. A roller rink with a real nice maple floor on one side and a full blown hockey rink on the other side complete with plexiglass walls.
The thing that really blew my mind was when I walked up to the snack bar counter and saw the beer tap.

I went to skate town about a week and a half ago for the Labor Day adult skate. The place is amazing, its big clean and new. The skate floor surprisingly not that impressive, it’s not a rotunda floor and it’s not THAT big. It is big compared to most rinks but not as big as say the bigger USA floors. Its main focus is Speed and hockey so its session amenities are a little lacking. The lighting and sound system are just bland. The crowd was huge, it got to the point that you could hardly skate it was so packed both on the skate floor and off.
