Bent Plates on Aggressive Quad Skates

Her plates are pretty much like mine and now she has the ones from rollergirl too. They are wider which gives a bigger base. The problem with mine is that they arent broken in yet/bent. I need to jump on stuff more often first lol.

Wait aminute. If you have metal grind plates on your skates, and they bend, your wheel trucks will have to bend inward. That can't be good. Perhaps Irene's skates came with flat grind plates and they are simply worn down to the shape of the coping she grinds.

That is the jump-bar that is curved in s243a's pic.

My plates are always bent from landing jumps [jump bar or not]....not a good thing.
Be aware that thicker jump bars add weight!!!
My plates have been in the vise so many times I'm expecting them to crack the next time I try to straighten them. The jump bars I bend back all the time.

Yes, when they bend in time which the grind plates are meant to do, you lock on better.
