In keeping with Kathie's request for rink information I figured I'd post one of my favorite local rinks.
It's the Skateland roller rink in Bradford, MA. Great wooden floor. Not the biggest floor, but extremely well kept. They recoat the floor annually in August. ![]() One of the best things about this place is the sound and lighting. It;s second to none. Clear, crisp sound with videos (on Saturday's more family-oriented sessions). It's an artistic and jam-skating based rink. Web site: SKATELAND Their info: 19 Railroad Avenue Bradford, Massachusetts 01835 (978) 372-3050 Directions: Because of the construction on the So. Elm Street Bridge, please follow these directions: From route 495, take exit #48 Ward Hill follow Ward Hill connector to third set of lights bear left onto Route 125 North. At blinking light with small fire station on your right, turn left onto Laurel Ave. Turn left under train bridge and left again onto Railroad Avenue.

Hi MA-ChuckBoucher,
Yep Marc did it again. Apparently from an inside source he has also added some other table stuff that will make the place interesting. I agree not the biggest floor, yet Marc always does a nice job with his place. Yours in Skating, MA/NY Dave |

Ill have to put my 2 cents in because I can..
Ill have to put this rink at one of the top in the country. Marc is a great friend and also works with me with WSA. He is the operational manager for WSA and does alot for the sport. He is in the process of remodeling the facility as we speak. It will be open shortly. The good news is that the bridge should be open shortly so it will be easier to access. The sound, floor, and lighting is all definately top notch. Ive been to this rink sevaral times and always enjoy my self. |

I will have to check out the scene while I'm there! Hopefully I will go around Thanksgiving but it is still up in the air if he is coming back to NC or if we are going to Mass to visit him. This is his first official holiday season there so we will most likely go to him. His wife is a editor for a publishing firm in Boston so when they married he transfered up there to be with her. There aren't too many publishing houses in NC ya know. They don't live IN Boston, but they are not too far away. They live in West Concord. They were looking at a house in Taunton but ended up moving to West Concord. My sister in Law is from Waltham.

Thanks Rick. I will have to look those up. I don't mind traveling if the rinks are nice so I still might hit up a few in the Taunton area.
