I've skated this trail a few times in the last few years and the surface has been in mediocre to really bad condition. I just tried it again recently and found a 3-4 mile section of freshly repaved trail which is absolutley fantastic to skate on. This may be found in the eastern portion of the trail, beginning 2-3 miles past I-694. This is also the prettiest part of the trail and will only better as the leaves begin to change. If you haven't skated this before, get out while this asphalt is still brand new; its one of my new favorite places to skate in the area. |

Cool, hope you like it. If you start at the parking lot near Hwy 36 and Hadley referenced on the web site and head east you've got about 10 miles to the end of the trail. Thus, a twenty mile round trip of which maybe half is on the new pavement.
