The Skate floor at one of the USA's here was bigger. It did not have the extra floors for beginners and such. Unfortunaly they hacked about a 3rd of the floor off to make room for jungle gyms and laser tag. The place is a pit now, just driving past it your wheels get coated in gunk.

Default Try Minnesota!!

I really like Roller Garden in St. Louis Park, Minnesota. It's a suburb of Minneapolis. They say 10 times around is a mile. I think it's really big. Just got a brand new floating coated wood floor (not hardwood, though) in September. Plus there are four adult sessions during the week!! You can check out their web site at rollergarden.com. Nice regulars and good skaters, but then I haven't skated anywhere but here. (We have really good lakes, too, in the summer for water-skiing...bring your boat!! or were you the guy who thought he might have to sell his boat so he could afford to buy more skate equipment?...he he!)

This thread makes me sad. I grew up skating on the biggest floor in the USA at Melody Skateland here in Indianapolis Indiana. The rink has since burned down in a suspicious fire. I miss that rink.. My favorite rink is Riverside arena in Livonia (Detroit) Michigan.. If you are on a road trip, check out that rink. http://www.riversidearena.com/

2 min video of melody - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G_KUx...eature=related

Not the biggest rink in the US, but the biggest rink I skated at was the Tacoma Roller Bowl. Closed in 1985.

Default sister rink to Melody

Melody's floor was installed by a man named Tilly. He was the best in my opinion and he was from Texas. He passed away a few years ago and I ran into his best friend at Tampa's RSA convention.

Orbit's floor was installed by the same man. Our floor is 200 x 100 and fabulous to skate on. We always considered ourselves siblings to Melody because of the floor and were very saddened when Melody burned down.

Holiday in Delanco New Jersey also has a 200 x 100 floor and is nice to skate on. I grew up there.

what size was the rink you skated at in Indiana which you say was the largest. you would have to see this one in new york, i think its in latham new york. it was build by a family that owned a saw mill and the grandfather cut and laid all the boards witha rotunda floor. looks like an aircraft hanger. also has an alcohol free club and huge game room.

the place is so large we went for practice and they ran world class free dance programs and freestyle programs at the same time. turned all the white wheels orange as it was stained in some areas of the floor.

Largest skating rink in the county
By Heather N. | Insider Expert | Rank: 3,732
Guptils is the largest skating rink in the county. It is a wonderful place to bring children as well as teenagers. Everyone is sure to have a great time. Guptils is open 12:30 to 5 P.M. on the weekdays and 7-11 P.M. on the weekends. It is $5.50 to skate in the afternoon and $6.50 for evening skate. Skate rentals are $1.50. I think these are very reasonable prices. There is always oldies music playing in the background which is fun for the parents. There is also an arcade and snack place. The arcade is large with plenty of games. The food is overpriced. Attatched to Guptils is a teenage dance club called Secrets. Ages range from 9-13 years old.

If you know some of the dances, the organ can be fun to skate to, especially a live organ player. It is a different type of skating, something most modern skaters have never been exposed to .

Thumbs up The Biggest Rinks 2 Just Alike! 40 miles apart

I have been to them in my travels numerous times, and the one in tyler, texas is where i suggusted for the sed's meet up etc.

tylerskateplex.com and sister rink in longview, texas.

Tyler rink has indoor skateboard park also. You can skate there while you are rink skating. Bring your own helmet!

Big side light,Tyler is where former miss america is from Phyliss George, all the women there real vain, good looking and no farmer john porkers. Outgoing. Never a dull minute.

No casinos or gambling in Texas, and it is right in the middle of the Bible,Belt so they are well behaved. Skate for fun. Real popular!
