Ok, on a more dramatic side of things!! Some of the showgroups are being presented with some major issues, as their 'props' and so on for some of the teams who shipped them in advance have them caught in customs!!! Not good, but I did mention some time ago how strict our Customs were.. and being as though these props are being sent with no one to pick them up!!! what do you expect!! Let's hpe that is being sorted out!!! and bex, Singapore is fantastic!!! if you are just at the airport though, have fun b/c its massive and so many shops! if you are going out - then dont forget its illegal to have chewing gum!!! hahaa.. yes, its very clean.. Go to Sentosa Island, just a quick trip on this massive cable car across from the mainlaind, the view from that is spectacular!! J and LinP, yes for sure.. I will most definately go and introduce myself to Hector and wish him well.. It will be great to meet everyone.. |

Jayson, I can't tell you how glad I am to hear that. I am anxiously awaiting a call from him tonight, as he has been travelling for about 31 hours and should be making his way through customs right now. I was on the web site for Air New Zealand to be sure the flight has come in on time. How exciting!

Bex, if Jay acts foggy... sock 'em for you and all of us! No doubt he's going to be in his Mr. Aussie PR-Mode! It will remind him that as the PR guy he's also there to be the host-with-the-most at Worlds. Also... Bex' skate well dear... we'll be rooting for you! Jay... on the other hand... Burton reminded me about what you Aussie's consider hospitality! Try not to scare the newbie's at World who are on their first trip! And whatever it takes you're our Entertainment Tonight editor on all the gossip, dirt and party report!Mary Lu

hahaha!! omg, too funny!! Burton would be relating to the times when I was a wee lad of only 15 and did not partake in all the partying he remembers fondly with many of the other 'adults' of the time!! heheehehe.. so i am innocent of that one!!! now as for Murcia and Bex, ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I'm pretty sure that was 7:00 pm Tuesday in Australia, which has already passed, so the Junior Opening Ceremonies must be finished. You can use the following link anytime to find out what time it is "right now" in Gold Coast Australia:
http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/city.html?n=1490 It's 12 noon Tuesday right now in California which I'm pretty sure makes it about 5:00 a.m. Wednesday in Australia. That means the first day of competition will begin in 2 or 3 hours. Here is the schedule for the first day of the Junior Worlds: _________________________________________ SCHEDULE FOR WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 31, 2007 07:30am - 10:30am Junior Competition Ladies Figures 1-2 (Panel 1-2) 07:30am - 10:30am Junior Competition Mens Figures 1-2 (Panel 1-2) 01:30pm - 04:30pm Junior Competition Ladies Figures 3-4 (Panel 1-2) 01:30pm - 04:30pm Junior Competition Mens Figures 3-4 (Panel 1-2) 04:30pm - 05:45pm Junior Competition Compulsory Dances (Panel 2) 06:00pm - 06:45pm Junior Competition Pairs Short Programme (Panel 1) 06:45pm - 08:00pm Junior Competition Solo Compulsory Dance 08:00pm - 08:45pm Junior Competition Original Dance (Panel 2) _________________________________________ - Kathie |

Keep in mind that the Australia time is 14 hours after the East coast time in the US. For example, the opening ceremonies, which were held from 7-9 pm were happening this morning from 5 to 7 am here in Pennsylvania. A great site to visit is www.timeanddate.com where you can set a clock for your location and Gold Coast.
I sure wish we were able to see/read about the ceremonies and the official practices. Lin |

It is such a shock to see this world class event with such little amount of people. By gum when I skated (which is old as dirt) just for Gold skate would have filled that whole place in Aussie land. My how the numbers have gone
